Location: Sunnyvale, CA (100% Onsite)

Introduction:

The role involves handling and moving laboratory equipment between two buildings under the guidance of a laboratory manager or supervisor. This position requires the safe and efficient operation of various types of machinery and adherence to safety protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment, up to 70 pounds or more
  • Experience operating manual and motorized equipment, such as hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and equipment tracking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Willingness to learn and follow established protocols and procedures
  • A valid driver’s license would be advantageous
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Mover
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications related to equipment handling
  • Experience in a laboratory environment
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Move laboratory equipment, such as Audio/RF test chambers and other large test fixtures
  • Safely operate manual equipment like hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks
  • Push or pull equipment on a pallet jack that may weigh over 300lbs
  • Occasionally lift equipment that requires 2 or more people and weighs over 100lbs
  • Inspect crate deliveries before opening
  • Assist in the set-up and breakdown of projects, as needed
  • Connect/Disconnect network, CDA, and power connection from equipment/machines
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment movement and maintenance activities
  • Wrap pallets to be sent to offsite storage
  • Ensure that equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use
  • Follow established protocols for waste disposal and recycling
  • Notify laboratory manager or supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards
