Overview:
As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting laboratory functions by performing phlebotomy, sample collection, and specimen processing. Working in a dynamic environment, you will ensure lab procedures are followed meticulously to support accurate diagnostics and patient outcomes. This role is ideal for proactive individuals eager to apply their skills in a healthcare setting that values precision and reliability.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, specifically within a specialty area
- Certified in Phlebotomy (Phlebotomy Certification required)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols and standards
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS)
- Knowledge of additional medical assisting procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under supervision
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications preferred
- Prior experience in a fast-paced lab environment or specialty clinic
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work scheduled hours from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM; schedule may vary
- Willingness to work a 13-week assignment
- Valid licensure and certifications in phlebotomy and applicable laboratory procedures
- Willingness to travel for training or assignments when necessary
This opportunity offers an hourly pay rate of $24.30, along with benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage, paid sick leave, and a robust referral bonus program.
