EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Administrative Assistant in South Pasadena. This is an administrative support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS systemReview paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctnessQuality control of samples to ensure sample integrityTransfer samples based on priority to appropriate custody locations Coordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administrationGenerate reports, invoices, and enter data produced by analysts into the computer system for the production of the final, client ready reportEnsure the final report is prepared and that the results are reported to the client in a timely manner Assist with internal and external client questions via phone, e-mail, and in personAct as a liaison between clients and laboratory staffOther responsibilities as deemed necessary by the managerQualificationsRequirements:High School diploma or GED equivalentAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely and without restriction or sponsorshipExperience in administration, data entry, and customer service Proficient in MS Office Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clienteleAbility to work in a high volume environment Ability to stand and sit for various lengths of timeAbility to lift up to 25lbs.
