Labor Trainer (Production / Quality / Logistics) Location: Fremont, CA Shifts Available: Day Shift & Night Shift Pay Rate: $23.00/hour + $1.00/hour graveyard premium for night shift ($24.00/hour total) Position Summary The Labor Trainer is a leadership support role responsible for training and developing new hires across multiple departments including Production, Quality Control, and Logistics. This role works closely with the Production Team Lead and Supervisor to ensure employees are properly trained, qualified, and able to perform their job duties safely and efficiently. The Labor Trainer plays a key role in improving workforce productivity, safety, and quality standards through structured training and employee development. Key Responsibilities
Train all new hires on assigned shift across Production, Quality Control, and Logistics departments
Conduct classroom and hands-on training for new and existing employees
Develop and update training materials, manuals, and visual aids
Track employee training progress and maintain training records
Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching
Ensure employees are properly qualified before being assigned to workstations
Support production, quality, and logistics operations as needed
Work closely with Team Leads and Supervisors to ensure proper employee placement
Maintain knowledge and qualification in all departments to effectively train others
Continuously improve training processes and materials
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in manufacturing, production, quality, or logistics environment
Previous training, coaching, or leadership experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of quality standards and production processes
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred
Knowledge of 5S and manufacturing processes is a plus
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Standing and walking for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Frequent bending, reaching, and working on the production floor
Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
PPE required in production areas
Additional Information
This is a leadership development role with cross-functional training across Production, Quality, and Logistics.
Training for this role may take several months as the Labor Trainer becomes qualified in all departments.
This position supports both the Production Team Lead and Supervisor and plays a critical role in onboarding and developing new employees.
