Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse and play a vital role in providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns during one of life's most significant moments. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering expert nursing care to laboring women, coordinating specialized procedures, and supporting newborn care immediately following birth. Your expertise will help ensure positive outcomes for mothers and babies, making a real difference during their most vulnerable times.
Required Skills:
- Valid RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Beginner & Advanced required
- Ability to perform as C-section circulator and provide initial newborn care
- Proficiency in handling labor, pre-eclampsia, PROM, and OB emergency diagnoses
- Knowledge of birthing equipment, including birthing tubs
- Excellent clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to work under pressure
Nice to Have Skills:
- AWHONN Advanced certification
- Experience with complex obstetric cases and high-risk deliveries
- Familiarity with specialized obstetric procedures and equipment
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
- At least 2 years of previous labor and delivery experience in a fast-paced setting
- Experience working night shifts in obstetrics
Other Requirements:
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:15 06:45)
- Certifications must be current and maintained
- Willingness to work flexible hours and contribute to a supportive healthcare environment
