Labeling Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Labeling Specialist to support product labeling operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring labeling accuracy, maintaining compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory requirements, and supporting change management activities across multiple systems.

The ideal candidate has experience with document control, change orders, and data management, along with strong Excel skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to Quality, Regulatory, and Operations functions while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve product labeling data discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Initiate, manage, and track label change orders and change requests through Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and label control software.
  • Coordinate the review, approval, and implementation of new and revised labels.
  • Extract, analyze, and maintain data across multiple systems to support updates to bills of materials (BOMs), batch records, and product labels.
  • Utilize Excel to perform large-scale data analysis and execute data uploads into Oracle (OCPLM).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize work, identify labeling issues, and ensure timely project completion.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through Lean methodologies and process optimization initiatives.
  • Own project timelines and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with document control, change management, or change order processes.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including:

  • Pivot Tables

  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

  • Data analysis and manipulation

  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulated environments.

  • Experience working with Oracle, PLM systems, EDMS platforms, or similar software.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting labeling, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, or operations functions.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working in a medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated industry.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Location: Fully onsite
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Duration: 6-month contract
  • Environment: Dynamic, team-oriented, regulated manufacturing setting
  • Exposure: Partner closely with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and Operations teams

This is a Contract position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
