Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Social Circle, GA 30025
Shift: Thursday – Sunday | 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Duration: 6+ Months (Possible Extension)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lab Technician to support microbiology testing, environmental monitoring, and laboratory sampling activities in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of laboratory experience in microbiology, biology, or analytical chemistry. The technician will perform laboratory testing, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Perform environmental monitoring, critical utilities sampling, and microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
Conduct laboratory assays using aseptic techniques while following established SOPs and GMP requirements.
Operate laboratory instruments and computerized systems, including LIMS, to collect, analyze, and document data accurately.
Ensure timely completion of testing and maintain data integrity in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support laboratory operations by maintaining equipment, supplies, and inventory.
Perform laboratory housekeeping and participate in safety and quality audits.
Troubleshoot routine laboratory issues and escalate non-routine results or deviations to supervisors.
Follow laboratory safety procedures and continuous improvement initiatives (5S).
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate results effectively with team members and management.
Utilize laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, and analytical instruments.
Perform calculations using both metric and U.S. measurement systems.
Use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
0–2 years of laboratory experience (internship, academic, or industry experience accepted).
Knowledge of microbiology techniques and analytical laboratory procedures.
Familiarity with laboratory documentation and data integrity practices.
Basic understanding of FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.
Experience working with laboratory instruments and LIMS is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills
Experience with environmental monitoring and microbiological assays.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and contamination control.
Familiarity with statistical analysis and laboratory troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.

Work Environment
Laboratory-based position in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Must be able to work the assigned shift: Thursday through Sunday, 1:30 PM – Midnight.
Requires adherence to laboratory safety procedures and use of appropriate PPE.
