Experience working in laboratory research environments.SUMMARYSeeking a motivated Lab Technician to join its Double Haploid Laboratory team in Filer, Idaho. This position supports advanced plant breeding and crop science research through laboratory testing, tissue culture activities, sample preparation, and process improvement initiatives.This role is ideal for candidates with laboratory experience and educational backgrounds in agricultural sciences, crop sciences, plant breeding, biology, biotechnology, or related scientific disciplines. We are looking for detail-oriented critical thinkers who are eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to innovative agricultural research programs.RESPONSIBILITIESSupport Double Haploid laboratory operations and plant breeding research activities.Perform seed collection, seed sterilization, embryo rescue, and tissue culture procedures.Prepare laboratory media and materials required for research programs.Generate and evaluate laboratory-scale samples supporting research and manufacturing initiatives.Troubleshoot laboratory processes and equipment as needed.Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, records, logs, and electronic documentation.Perform data collection and support process improvement efforts.Conduct technical and internet research to assist with problem-solving activities.Perform stoichiometric calculations using computer software and manual calculations.Collaborate with research, manufacturing, and technical teams.Follow all EHS requirements, SOPs, Responsible Care guidelines, and laboratory safety procedures.Manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering timely and accurate results.***Drug screen & criminal background check will be required **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.** **Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client’s business needs and requirements.** Benefits: For information and details on employment benefits offered with this position, please visit here.
