Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and clean laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory of glassware, chemicals, and raw materials.
- Dispose of hazardous waste according to regulations and procedures.
- Prepare reagents, standards, and media for analysis.
- Operate and clean laboratory equipment, including mixers and encapsulation machines.
- Perform various testing and record results accurately.
- Train new or existing personnel as needed.
- Comply with departmental guidance and SOPs.
Requirements:
- High School education.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Accurate and legible documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Vision requirements include color differentiation and 20/30 vision.
Preferences:
- Some college coursework in related sciences.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting.
- Experience with analytical equipment (balances).
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
