Job Description
We are seeking a Data Operations Technician to join our dynamic Product Data Operations team in Burlingame. The ideal candidate will have experience in AR/VR, robotics, and hands-on data operations and a proven ability to collect, annotate, and validate high-quality datasets for prototype devices. This is a full-time, on-site contingent worker role managed by the Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Operate prototype devices to collect high-quality data in lab and simulated environments.
- Follow detailed protocols to execute complex data collection tasks with consistency and accuracy.
- Annotate and label collected data using internal tools and platforms.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to validate data accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with team members and project leads to plan and optimize data collection sessions.
- Document procedures, issues, and findings.
- Adhere to safety, privacy, and confidentiality guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in AR/VR, robotics, or similar hands-on technical environments.
- Experience with scaled data collection for physical device research teams.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex protocols and maintain accuracy during repetitive tasks.
- Computer literacy, including running Python scripts and using data entry or annotation tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site team environment with willingness to learn new tools and processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience troubleshooting and documenting technical errors.
- Intermediate Python or Bash experience.
- Experience working in prototype test environments
