Position Summary:
Colanar is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cleanroom Lab Technician to support operations within our cleanroom manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who combines hands-on assembly experience with strong organizational and documentation skills.
The ideal candidate will be both a “player” and a “coach” — capable of assembling kits in the lab while helping maintain organization, quality standards, and day-to-day coordination of the cleanroom space. This position plays an important role in supporting product quality, compliance, and operational efficiency as Colanar continues to grow.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate documentation and production records to support traceability and regulatory requirements
Support organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the cleanroom environment
Help coordinate workflow and maintain consistency within the lab space
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve non-conformities
Operate manufacturing tools and equipment safely and effectively
Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety procedures, SOPs, and cleanroom regulations
Assist with inventory organization, material handling, and preparation of production materials as needed
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and process reliability

Qualifications Desired:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior cleanroom, laboratory, medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Experience with production documentation, batch records, or quality-controlled environments preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive precision-based tasks consistently
Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions and technical documentation
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Effective communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
Experience assembling single-use or sterile products
Familiarity with GMP, FDA, ISO, or other regulated manufacturing environments
Experience supporting or mentoring others in a lab or manufacturing setting
Basic computer and data entry skills
Experience working with inventory systems or material tracking

Work Environment: This position primarily operates within a controlled cleanroom and light manufacturing environment supporting Life Sciences and pharmaceutical-related products. Employees are required to follow strict gowning, cleanliness, contamination-control, and documentation procedures to maintain compliance and product integrity. Work may involve exposure to cleaning agents and production materials. Noise levels may range from low to moderate depending on production activity. Safe work practices and adherence to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, cleanroom standards, and customer-specific requirements are expected at all times.
Position Classification
This is a full-time, exempt salaried position. Depending on the needs of the business, the ability to work more than 40 hours/week and/or weekends may be required. Overtime will not be paid for hours worked over 40 hours/week.
