Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Beacon Falls, CT
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | Full-Time | On-Site
Pay: $24-25hr. depending on skills and experience
Full time: Direct Hire
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to support the development and testing of advanced fiber composite materials in a manufacturing and laboratory environment. This role involves working with resins, additives, and composite fibers to build and test prototype parts using a variety of processing methods.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working both in a lab and on the production floor, supporting new product development and material testing.
Responsibilities
- Material Preparation & Mixing
Mix resins and additives including epoxies and acrylics
Handle composite materials including glass, carbon, and synthetic fibers - Prototype Development & Testing
Build and test fiber composite parts and prototypes
Support various curing and processing methods including UV cure, amine/peroxide cure, vacuum bagging, compression molding, and filament winding - Lab & Manufacturing Support
Work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments to support production and development
Operate and assist with testing equipment to evaluate material performance - Equipment Operation
Use high shear planetary mixers for material preparation
Operate mechanical testing machines for strength and durability testing
Utilize viscometers to measure material properties
Requirements
- High School Diploma required, technical or vocational training preferred
- Prior laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to work with chemicals, resins, and composite materials
- Comfortable working in both lab and production environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
