Lab Manager – Electronics Lab (Part Time) Compensation

• The pay for this position is $35.00 – $50.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Lab Manager – Electronics Lab (Part Time) Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 4 hours per day (20 hours/week)

Lab Manager – Electronics Lab (Part Time)Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day electronics lab operations, equipment, and workspace organization
• Perform precision soldering and rework including:
• • BGA rework (removal and replacement)
  • BGA reballing
  • Fine-pitch component soldering and repair
• Maintain lab tools, equipment, and workstations in optimal condition
• Establish and enforce lab organization standards and procedures
• Track inventory of components, consumables, and equipment
• Coordinate with engineering teams to prioritize lab work and support project timelines
• Document lab processes, procedures, and completed work
• Ensure lab cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency

Lab Manager – Electronics Lab (Part Time)Requirements

• Demonstrated lab management experience with prior lab oversight responsibilities
• Expert-level soldering and rework skills, including BGA rework and reballing
• Ability to pass a practical hands-on technical assessment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven job stability and experience in similar technical environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills for engineering collaboration
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Lab Manager – Electronics Lab (Part Time)Preferred Qualifications

• Linux system experience (strong plus)
• Experience with hot air and IR rework stations
• Familiarity with lab inventory management systems
• IPC certification (IPC-7711/7721 or equivalent)
