The director works hands-on with laboratory processes, staff, and systems, driving quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all laboratory functions.

Work Environment
This is an on-site role in a clinical laboratory setting within a collaborative healthcare environment. The position involves frequent standing, walking, and regular use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation. The role includes routine exposure to bloodborne pathogens and laboratory chemicals and is classified as OSHA Category I. The Laboratory Director may lift up to 30 pounds as part of equipment handling or supply management. The environment emphasizes quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on patient care and teamwork among laboratory and clinical staff.
