ResponsibilitiesProvides technical support to the lab by receiving and processing requisitions and specimens, ordering specified lab tests according to standard operating procedures, responding to phone requests, and entering lab test data into the computer.QualificationsEducation: High School diploma or GED required.Preferred education: Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 semester hours of chemistry and 6 semester hours of biology.License / certification: MLA certification from a nationally recognized credentialing agency (e.g., ASCP or AMT) preferred.Experience: Previous work experience strongly preferred; keyboarding 40 wpm preferred.Additional skills and abilities: Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑service oriented environment, prioritize and change tasks frequently, maintain absolute confidentiality of patient information, work in a high‑stress environment with little downtime, work in a team setting, maintain integrity and accuracy in patient identification.
