Job Title : L2 Linux/VMWare System Administrator

Location : Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)

Type : Fulltime Position

Job Summary:

  1. Expert experience in Linux/VMWare environment with Strong background supporting Linux Servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu/Free BSD)
  2. Proven experience in the use of Automation technologies, specifically Ansible, as well as other Linux specific scripting technologies.
  3. Hands on experience with Linux Patch management including YUM, Apt-get, Repo and other Linux specific technologies
  4. Troubleshoots complex server hardware and OS related issues.

Detailed Job Description:

  1. Experience with Flavors of Linux OS system administration, handling incidents, changes related to Linux OS, patching, VMWare tools related.
  2. Ensure the environment is secure and updated. This role includes, but is not limited to patch management, system upgrades, backups, disaster recovery/business
  3. Should have proven experience in automation and tools like ansible, GitHub etc...
  4. Communicates results, status, and actions effectively.
  5. Should be able to address performance issues, post patching Issues.

Required Skills:

  1. Experience with Linux OS system administration
  2. Experience with VMWare tools, deployment of VMs, VMs migration experience.
  3. Strong understanding and Implementation knowledge on security Initiatives
  4. Experience with configuration management and automation
  5. Experience with VMware/flavors of Linux
  6. Strong understanding of Storage and Network concepts
  7. Strong understanding of automation concept
  8. Knowledge on Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  9. Well versed with ITIL process
