PAY AND BENEFITS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Citizen of the United States Meet qualifications in City of Ashland Ordinance #205, 2024 Must be 21 years of age High school graduate or GED Valid driver's license No prior felony Kentucky Law Enforcement Certification in good standing Graduation from a Kentucky Law Enforcement Council approved academy within the Commonwealth of Kentucky Retired Kentucky peace officers regaining employment with approval from County Employees Retirement System along with contractual requirements under KRS 95.022 Non-retired officers agree to 3-year employment agreement
