Responsible for the development and implementation of the healthcare strategy for the company. Lead strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and pharmacy file buys across the company. Assist team leads in the development of strategic plans, including supporting preliminary financial modeling of new initiatives before they are broadly shared to help ensure realistic expectations. Achieve and maintain a high level of knowledge on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity that impacts the healthcare space. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Minimum

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
  • Any experience in strategy/new business development
  • 3+ years of healthcare finance experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and peers
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to handle ever changing scope of assignments and projects
  • Strong understanding of industry/technical terms and processes

Desired

  • Master's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
  • Any experience building scalable programs and platforms
  • Any merger and acquisition experience
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools
  • Work with senior management to develop competitive strategies and strategic plans as it relates to Kroger Health's business operations, new market development, other new business initiatives, and collaborative efforts to achieve company objectives
  • Assist business owners in building business cases for portfolio projects and evaluate/approve for accuracy
  • Track and report financial impact of portfolio of projects
  • Maintain high level of understanding of the multi-year financial model to support Health & Wellness as well as the annual budgeting process
  • Understand the financial models used to determine healthcare contract values with team leaders for Business Development, Clinical, Operations, and Procurement teams including an in-depth understanding of contract implications to Kroger Health
  • Work with leadership team to review qualified prospects and present the company's credentials and/or identify and discuss specific opportunities for future partnerships
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of trends within the healthcare industry
  • Create value models for new business opportunities, including bulk script file purchases
  • Identify projects and partnerships that take advantage of the growing healthcare market to leverage the Kroger brand and resources to drive alternative profit streams
