Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build production backend services in Kotlin and Java
- Develop scalable REST and GraphQL APIs
- Build and evolve the Mobile Service Layer / Backend for Frontend (BFF)
- Support high-volume, low-latency services used by mobile applications
- Modernize legacy services and help introduce Kotlin into newer services
- Write clean, maintainable, tested code
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability and performance
- Collaborate with mobile engineers, architects, QA, DevOps, and product teams
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and CI/CD practices
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Strong production experience with Kotlin
- Strong backend development experience with Java
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience building REST APIs
- Experience with GraphQL
- Experience with microservices
- Experience with CI/CD and automated testing
- Strong debugging, refactoring, and production support skills
- Ability to work in a large-scale, enterprise environmen
- Backend for Frontend (BFF) architecture
- Mobile API platform experience
- Kafka or event-driven systems
- AWS or cloud-native deployment experience
- Modern Java features and code modernization work
- Experience supporting consumer-facing applications at scale
