Job Description - Summary Student employee needed to restock items, clean, and provide support to the Knights Grill on campus.

Eligibility Requirements

• Students must be enrolled in AT LEAST 6 credit hours to qualify for FWS Program.
• This is a part-time opportunity.
• Students may work up to 15 hours per week depending on their unmet need on their FASFA.

IMPORTANT NOTICE Federal Work Study is federally funded need-based aid to assist students with the cost of attending college. This listing is intended for students that will attend Surry Community College during the 2026-2027 academic year and have need determined by the federal government. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prep food orders for customers.
• Help in the kitchen as needed.
• Re-Stocking as needed.
• Follow food safety regulations.
• Clean and Prep serving area regularly.
• Cleaning of all aspects of the cooler, floor, machines, etc.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

General Qualifications

• Dependable.
• Good work ethic.
• Pay attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to stand 4-6 hours at a time.
• Listen and follow directions.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification (not required but preferred).
• Previous food service experience.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds.
• Sweep, mop, and clean as needed.
• Long periods of standing.

Work Environment In the Knights Grill located on the bottom floor of A Building on campus.

Schedule & Hours

• Rate: $14.00/hour
• Weekly Hours:
• Mon-Thurs: 7a - 2p
• Fri: 7a - 1:30p
