Kitchen Manager Responsibilities
Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts
Coach, develop, and support kitchen team members
Hold team members accountable to Chick-fil-A standards and expectations
Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence at all times
Monitor food quality, speed of service, and accuracy
Assist with training and onboarding new team members
Support inventory management and waste reduction initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency and team performance
Maintain a positive, professional, and encouraging work environment
Communicate effectively with Front of House and Leadership teams
Work alongside the team during peak business periods to ensure operational success
Operational Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food according to Chick-fil-A standards
Be proficient in all kitchen stations, including breading, fries, boards, prep, and secondary
Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned
Stock inventory and supplies as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Follow all Chick-fil-A policies, procedures, and food safety guidelines
Report equipment issues and facility concerns to leadership
Stay current on new products, procedures, and training materials
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of restaurant leadership, shift management, or supervisory experience required
Strong leadership and coaching abilities
Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Dependable, responsible, and self-motivated
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Positive attitude and servant-minded approach to leadership
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Customer-service mindset with a passion for serving others
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry 20–30 pounds regularly
