Porter / Steward (Kitchen Porter)

We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking, and dependable Porter/Steward to join our team. This role is essential to the success of our kitchen by ensuring all dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for service. You'll help create a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen while supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional hospitality to every guest.

What You'll Do
  • Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate and maintain the dish machine.
  • Monitor water temperatures and chemical levels to ensure sanitation standards.
  • Keep the dish area clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Remove trash and recycling.
  • Report equipment issues to the Manager on Duty.
  • Handle kitchen equipment carefully to minimize breakage.
  • Support the kitchen team while maintaining a guest-first mindset.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
  • Able to work independently and follow directions.
  • Available between 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and temperatures exceeding 85°F.
  • Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards is preferred.

The base hourly pay range reflects the minimum and maximum pay for this position.
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
