Job Description:
Hillside Resort is seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. This position is responsible for overseeing kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and consistency, managing inventory and food costs, and ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in building a positive, accountable kitchen culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations

  • Hire, train, and schedule kitchen staff

  • Ensure consistent food quality and presentation

  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships

  • Monitor food cost, waste, and portion control

  • Develop and implement kitchen procedures and systems

  • Assist with menu planning and seasonal features

  • Maintain compliance with health department regulations

  • Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth service

Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen management or leadership experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

  • Experience with inventory control and cost management

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasons

  • Food safety certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time position. Hours will vary depending on season and business demand.
Compensation is based on experience, including kitchen leadership, inventory management, and operational oversight.
