We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our team and help elevate our guests and employees experience to new heights.
Job Description: As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant back-of-house. You will ensure an exceptional guest experience and maintain the highest standards of service and quality, while leading and inspiring a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create remarkable experiences for our colleagues and guests
- Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage while managing labor costs
- Manage the kitchen inventory and ensure supplies are fresh and of high quality
- Ensure kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, and sanitation requirements
- Coordinate and prepare meals ordered by guests
- Ensure proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
- Maintain and inspect kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending repairs or replacements as needed
- Assist in the creation of the restaurant s menu based on food trends, food costs, guest requests, and seasonal availability
- Assist in creation and maintenance of operating/training manuals for the kitchen
- Support the General Manager in setting and reaching goals for the department
Qualifications:
- 3+ years proven experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager or similar role in a relaxed upscale dining establishment
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions
- Strong financial skills in budgeting, expense management and financial report preparation and analysis
- Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
