Job Title: Kitchen Manager

Location: Charleston, WV

Salary: $50K - $62K + Bonuses


About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a hands-on and organized Kitchen Manager to oversee daily BOH operations at a high-volume casual dining restaurant in Charleston, WV. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent food quality, operational efficiency, team leadership, and a clean, safe, and positive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient food preparation and service during all shifts
  • Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain consistency, productivity, and teamwork
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, portioning, and ticket times to ensure high guest satisfaction
  • Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and product storage to maintain proper stock levels and minimize waste
  • Control food and labor costs while supporting budget goals and operational targets
  • Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations
  • Assist in scheduling kitchen staff and ensuring proper coverage for all shifts
  • Maintain equipment functionality and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed
  • Work closely with front-of-house leadership to ensure seamless service execution
  • Step into line cooking or prep roles as needed during peak service times


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of kitchen leadership or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and cost control
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work alongside the team on the line
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
