The Kitchen Lead at Graze Craze Buckhead Midtown is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and leading the kitchen team. This role requires strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for food presentation, particularly in charcuterie board assembly. MUST HAVE A VAILD DRIVERS LICENSE
Key Responsibilities:
1. Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation
Oversee and participate in the preparation of charcuterie boards, grazing tables, and other menu items according to Graze Craze Buckhead Midtown standards.
Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, with a focus on freshness, presentation, and portion control.
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and aesthetic appeal.
Develop and implement kitchen workflows to optimize efficiency.
2. Team Management & Leadership
Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Provide clear direction and support to ensure high team morale and productivity.
Enforce food safety protocols and company policies.
3. Inventory & Cost Control
Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor ingredient levels to prevent shortages or waste.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
Work within budget guidelines to control food costs and minimize waste.
Develop relationships with vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
4. Compliance & Food Safety
Ensure kitchen operations comply with local health department regulations and food safety standards.
Train staff on proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols.
Conduct regular kitchen inspections to uphold cleanliness and organization.
Maintain documentation related to food safety, inspections, and employee certifications.
5. Customer Service & Brand Representation
Ensure all food items are prepared according to customer specifications and brand standards.
Occasionally interact with customers to accommodate special requests or address concerns.
Assist with catering orders and ensure on-time delivery of large orders.
Represent Graze Craze Buckhead Midtown professionally in the community and during events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Minimum 2 3 years of experience in a kitchen management or supervisory role, preferably in catering, specialty food, or deli-style environments.
Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
Food Knowledge: Passion for food artistry, charcuterie, and creative presentation.
Organization & Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to Detail: Commitment to high standards in food quality and presentation.
Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with POS systems, and basic office tools.
Certifications (Preferred): ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training.
Work Conditions & Expectations:
Ability to work Tuesday - Saturday
Standing for extended periods in a kitchen environment.
