Kitchen Assistant Job Description Reports to: Head Chef and Food Services Coordinator Direct Reports: None FLSA Classification: Non-exempt Date Approved: September, 2025 Pay rate: $16.45 - $18.45 Summary The Kitchen Assistant supports food production, kitchen safety, and sanitation for the YWCA’s child care programs. Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals and snacks, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, and assisting with deliveries and inventory. This role also supports the Head Chef to ensure compliance with food safety standards. The position is part-time, 25 hours per week, year-round.
