Heartland Early Education is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our food service program. This position plays an important role in ensuring nutritious meals are prepared, transported, and served to students while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of food items for students and school personnel
- Transport and distribute meals and food items throughout the facility
- Maintain kitchen equipment, work areas, and facilities in a clean and sanitary condition
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and kitchen organization
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Must enjoy working with children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness and food safety
- Ability to follow directions and maintain a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Sanitation training
- Experience in institutional food service
- Experience with school meal programs
