POSITION: Kindergarten Para-Educator

Hurlbutt Elementary School

Job Summary: The Kindergarten Para-Educator collaborates with kindergarten teachers to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for young children. They play a key role in assisting with the academic, social, and emotional development of kindergarten students, ensuring a smooth transition into formal education.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in early childhood education preferred
• Previous experience working with young children
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for fostering the growth and development of young learners
• Understanding of early childhood education principles and best practices
• Service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Capable of establishing positive and productive working relationships with teachers, other colleagues and students

TERMS: 10-month position with salary and benefits in accordance with the contract between the Weston Board of Education and Local 1303-110 of Council 4 AFSCME
