Position Summary
Kent Island Resort is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role oversees daily housekeeping functions, ensures high standards of cleanliness, and develops a high-performing team aligned with Vivamee’s values.
We are looking for a leader who leads with Joy, operates with Humility, and approaches their work as Ministry—serving both guests and team members with care and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry
- Hire, train, coach, and motivate a diverse housekeeping team
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality standards are consistently met
- Collaborate with Front Desk and Maintenance teams to ensure timely room readiness
- Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement of supplies and linens
- Address guest concerns and resolve service issues with professionalism and care
- Maintain labor standards, scheduling efficiency, and departmental budgets
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Foster a team culture rooted in respect, accountability, and Vivamee’s core virtues
Qualifications
- 3+ years of housekeeping experience in hospitality (hotel or resort preferred)
- 1+ years of supervisory or management experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with scheduling, inspections, and inventory control
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and seasonal fluctuations
Bi-Lingual in Spanish preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a resort, boutique, or lifestyle hospitality environment
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) or housekeeping software
- Demonstrated commitment to guest service excellence and team development
