CONTRACT POSITION

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education and Health Teacher to inspire wellness and foster a positive learning environment. You will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging curricula that promote physical health, emotional well-being, and social growth while serving as a mentor and advocate for our students.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Instruction & Curriculum: Develop and execute lesson plans for assigned grade levels that meet state standards and incorporate diverse instructional techniques.

Student Support: Evaluate individual student needs, maintain accurate records (grades, attendance, behavior), and foster a classroom environment built on trust and respect.

Engagement: Proactively communicate student progress (both successes and challenges) with parents and guardians.

Collaboration: Work collegially with tribal departments, administration, and community members to support the school's holistic philosophy.

Professionalism: Maintain punctuality, submit timely lesson plans for substitutes, and serve as a positive role model for the community.

Performs related duties as directed.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university (K-8 field of study preferred).
  • Teaching Certification in Physical Education and Health
  • Also an opportunity to serve as the school Athletic Director*
