West Michigan Aviation Academy is currently seeking a JV Boys Soccer Coach.
Position begins July 27 and goes through the first week of October. JV Coach will be working alongside our Varsity Coach to develop the boys soccer program.
CPR/First Aid Certified preferred and is required to begin coaching.

Job Summary:
Join our dynamic athletic department as a JV Boys Soccer Coach and lead our junior varsity team to success. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual who has a strong understanding of soccer and the ability to inspire young athletes. The ideal candidate will foster a positive team environment, emphasizing skill development, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training sessions that enhance players' skills, teamwork, and knowledge of soccer.
- Plan and execute strategies for games, focusing on both team and individual player development.
- Ensure the welfare, safety, and development of all student-athletes.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging environment that promotes personal growth and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, expectations, and progress.
- Monitor the academic performance of student-athletes to support their all-around development.
- Organize and conduct tryouts to select team members based on fair and unbiased evaluation.
- Uphold the school's standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with league and conference rules.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience at the high school level or higher is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with athletes, parents, and school staff.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- A commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
