As a Juvenile Correctional Security Officer - Badging in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, and security-related policies at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Document visitor activity, deliveries, and security-related incidents with accuracy, and communicate relevant information to site personnel and/or supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to observe conditions, report concerns, and support access control operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
