Whitefish Bay High School Girls Tennis program is looking for a JV Tennis Coach to join their staff for the upcoming season!
This coach would be in charge of running practices, games, and maintaining the JV team! The ideal candidate would be able to attend practice M-F from 4pm-6pm and would be able to travel to away games on the bus, which generally leaves around 3:00pm. The JV Coach would also be part of the Varsity postseason coaching staff. This is a paid position.
Preferred Coaching Criteria:
- Previous experience coaching/competing in the sport
- A general philosophy on coaching and passion for the sport
- Knowledge of the fundamentals, training, rules, and strategy of the sport
- Ability to effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and administration
- Strong organizational skills
- Develop and implement game strategy and position assignments
- Creating a mutually beneficial relationship between colleagues and the community
- Maintaining a positive and growth-mindset throughout all time of the job
- Monitor academic progress and status of team members, implementing action plans through appropriate staff when needed.
- Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of student athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program.
- Being timely and willing to go the extra mile for the program.
