Job Title: Junior Tax Associate

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $55-62k

Onsite – 5 days/week

Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist the tax team in all aspects of tax functions including resolving tax notices, and preparing filing for sales, use, and specialty tax returns.
• Support payroll providers with registration, filings, and withdrawals related to state withholding, unemployment, and other payroll accounts.
• Prepare and file various tax types such as franchise, excise, personal property, and gross receipts taxes.
• Assist with corporate registrations, annual reports, and address tax notices promptly.
• Participate in tax audits and conduct research on tax-related issues, summarizing findings for management and departments.
• Organize and maintain tax records and documents in compliance with legal standards.
• Support in federal, state, and international tax payments and other ad hoc reporting tasks.
• Perform additional duties as required by the tax team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
• 0-2 years of accounting experience
• Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strict attention to detail, highly organized and efficient
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High integrity and confidentiality
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
