QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills / Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience supporting IT projects, technology deployments, PMO functions, or infrastructure initiatives. 
  • Experience working in financial services, banking, enterprise environments, or consulting organizations preferred.
  • Exposure to hardware deployments, device refreshes, mobile technology rollouts, or end-user technology support strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.   
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within project/program management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support project managers and deployment leads with day-to-day coordination activities.
  • Assist with tracking project milestones, deliverables, risks, and action items.
  • Help coordinate hardware deployment activities including device rollouts, inventory tracking, refresh schedules, and user communications.
  • Maintain project documentation, status reports, meeting notes, and governance materials.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including operations, infrastructure, support, and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and escalate roadblocks or issues as needed.
  • Assist with resource coordination and scheduling across multiple workstreams.
  • Support adherence to project standards, processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with regional and global teams to ensure alignment across deployment activities.
  • Provide regular updates to program leadership on project status and deployment progress.

Junior Project Manager/Coordinator Technology/Financial Services

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Junior PMO / Project Coordinator to support a large-scale Mobile Technology Standardization Program within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role is ideal for someone with early-career experience supporting technology deployments, hardware rollouts, or infrastructure projects who is looking to grow within project management and enterprise technology operations.

The PMO will support the Program Manager across multiple phases of the project lifecycle, including stakeholder coordination, scheduling, reporting, deployment tracking, and day-to-day project support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment.

This is a long-term contract opportunity running through June 2027 ( with possible extension).

Location: Full-time onsite in Manhattan 
 
Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting enterprise hardware refresh or mobility initiatives. 
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies or PMO environments. 
  • Experience coordinating onsite deployment activities or technology rollouts in large corporate environments.
