Junior Oracle DBA

Razor is looking for an experienced Jr Oracle DBA responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle specific database environments. The role involves designing and delivering scalable data solutions, including architecture design, proof-of-concept prototyping, and ensuring adherence to development standards. The position focuses on performance, scalability, security, and efficient database design while supporting organizational database planning and engineering efforts.

Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain a Medium Level Public Trust Security Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain one or more complex database systems
• Analyze, design, and deliver data solutions including architecture and proof-of-concept development
• Develop standards, design documents, and test plans for database solutions
• Perform module design, development, testing, and debugging of data solutions
• Design and implement efficient database solutions aligned with business requirements
• Assist in planning and engineering organizational database systems
• Monitor database performance, scalability, and security
• Evaluate existing database designs and recommend updates or integration improvements
• Ensure database solutions meet organizational requirements and design intent

Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle Database systems
• Experience with Linux
• Experience configuring, integrating, and securing database platforms (e.g., RDS, Aurora, Cassandra, DynamoDB)
• Experience supporting Linux systems engineering, including system design, evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration
• Experience with Database Schema as Code tools
• Ability to design and develop complex SQL queries and reports
• Experience with database partitioning and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience installing, maintaining, and administering Oracle databases (required)

Desired Skills:

• Experience analyzing and tuning queries for performance optimization
• Experience with Liquibase source control tools
• Experience conducting SQL code reviews and enforcing best practices
• Experience with cloud-native database solutions, including AWS RDS and DynamoDB
• Exposure to security scanning tools and remediation processes
• Experience with ETL and data warehousing methodologies
• Experience with replication technologies such as AWS DMS or Oracle GoldenGate
