Pay Rate: $50k-$70k

Our growing client is seeking an entry-level Network Engineer to join an established technology company serving a diverse client base throughout the Capital Region. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career IT professional looking to build hands-on experience with network infrastructure, customer support, and IT project work while working directly with experienced technical leadership.

Responsibilities of the Network Engineer will include:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points
• Provide technical support to customers both remotely and onsite
• Assist with day-to-day support requests as well as project-based network implementations
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues and recommend effective solutions
• Support DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network monitoring environments
• Assist with network documentation and maintain accurate records of customer environments and completed work
• Support routing, switching, and wireless networking initiatives
• Collaborate with customers to deliver exceptional technical support and service
• Participate in occasional after-hours maintenance and support activities as needed

Qualifications for the role of Network Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field required
• Hands-on experience configuring or supporting firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networks
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Sophos, or SonicWall technologies
• Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network monitoring concepts
• Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
• Exposure to network security best practices, VoIP, or network design is a plus
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service mindset
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to lift and transport desktop computers and networking equipment as needed
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and U.S. citizenship required
