This position will be remote with a preference for Tampa, Florida.Position DescriptionThe Junior Inventory Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of ClimeCo's environmental commodities inventory. You'll work closely with our Finance and Operations teams to track, reconcile, and report on carbon credit and environmental attribute positions — ensuring our books reflect the real-world movement of assets that drive client outcomes.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants to build technical depth in a fast-growing, mission-driven industry.What You'll DoMaintain and reconcile inventory records for environmental commodities (carbon credits, RECs, and related instruments) across multiple registries and platformsProcess inventory transactions including acquisitions, retirements, and transfers with accuracy and timelinessAssist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including inventory subledger reconciliation to the general ledgerPrepare journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAPSupport internal and external audit requests related to inventoryIdentify and flag discrepancies, working cross-functionally with Operations and commercial teams to resolveAssist in developing and improving inventory tracking procedures and controlsGenerate inventory reports and summaries for Finance leadership as neededRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field0–2 years of accounting or finance experience; internship experience welcomedFoundational understanding of GAAP accounting principlesStrong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or accounting systems a plusAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentIntellectual curiosity and interest in sustainability, carbon markets, or environmental financeNice to HaveExposure to environmental commodities, carbon registries (e.g., Verra, Gold Standard, APX), or financial servicesExperience with NetSuite or similar ERP platformsCPA candidate or intention to pursue CPA licensure#J-18808-Ljbffr
