Junior High Science Teacher

Cathedral of the Risen Christ seeks a junior high science teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Cathedral is looking for a passionate and dedicated junior high science teacher to join our community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understand of science concepts, a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young people, and the ability to integrate Catholic values into the curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, hands-on science lessons for junior high (Grades 6-8)
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
  • Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations
  • Integrate Catholic teachings and values into the science curriculum where appropriate.
  • Participate in school wide events and activities
  • Stay current with best practices in science education

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or related field
  • Nebraska teaching certificate
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
