DescriptionThe Defense Systems group at Leidos currently is seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to support our RF Systems Deployment & Sustainment team. This hands‑on role focuses on the integration, testing, and maintenance of advanced RF systems. The position includes a mix of lab/integration work and travel to customer sites for system deployment, upgrades, and field support. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, versatile engineer who enjoys building, debugging, and improving hardware systems.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform system integration, build‑outs, cabling, and configuration of RF and supporting hardware.Conduct testing, troubleshooting, repair, and root‑cause analysis of electrical, mechanical, and system‑level issues.Travel to customer sites to support system deployments and upgrades.Use a variety of test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, network analyzers, etc.) and hand tools.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience (degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar). Additional experience, education, or training may be considered.Requires a current DoD Top Secret clearance to be considered (U.S. Citizenship is required).Strong hands‑on aptitude and mechanical inclination (experience building, modifying, or troubleshooting hardware is highly valued).Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and RF fundamentals.Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.Must be willing and able to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations (up to 25%).Ability and willingness to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama.Preferred QualificationsExperience with wideband RF systems.Experience with hardware bench testing and lab environments.Familiarity with soldering and cable assembly.Problem solving mindset and comfort working in dynamic environments.Active DoD TS/SCIPay and BenefitsPay and benefits are fundamental to any career decision.
