We are seeking a Junior Chief Engineer to support transmission, driveline, and gear reducer programs within a global automotive environment. In this highly visible role, you will partner closely with Chief Engineering, vehicle teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to deliver powertrain systems from concept through production. You will act as a key technical interface, ensuring alignment between product design, vehicle integration, cost, timing, and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
Support Chief Engineer in execution of transmission and driveline programs
Own application matrix and ensure alignment across vehicle platforms and variants
Coordinate vehicle integration, packaging studies, and interface requirements
Define and manage technical specifications (torque, NVH, durability, ratios, mass, etc.)
Lead virtual validation and duty cycle analysis with cross-functional engineering teams
Manage design changes, approvals, and external interface coordination
Support build readiness, pilot builds, assembly plant activities, and issue resolution
Drive supplier coordination, sourcing activities, and manufacturing readiness
Track program timing, cost, budget (TPC, CAPEX, ER&D), and milestone execution
Lead problem-solving, continuous improvement, and change management activities
Support benchmarking, regulatory documentation, and compliance deliverables
Collaborate with global teams across engineering, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or related degree field
A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in product development design and release with a minimum of 1 or more years of propulsion systems experience or 1 or more years of program management experience
Demonstrated experience working with collaborative and global teams
Understanding of typical automotive product engineering, manufacturing, finance and quality processes
Advanced English language skills 90% (Read and Write).
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in an engineering related field
Design for Six Sigma certification
Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
