Position Title: Jr. Account Manager Classification: Non-Exempt Reports To: Department Team Leader Hours: Full Time Location: Salt Lake City, UT Compensation: 60-75K SalaryPosition SummaryThe Buckner Company is seeking a Junior Account Manager / Account Manager to support and service a commercial lines book of business. This position works closely with Producers, Client Advisors, carriers, and clients to manage new and renewal business while delivering exceptional customer service. The position may be filled at either level based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with and/or independently manage a commercial lines book of business.Market, analyze, and service new and renewal accounts.Prepare submissions, review carrier quotes, and develop renewal proposals.Attend pre-renewal and renewal meetings as needed.Review policies to ensure coverages, limits, and forms are accurate.Process endorsements, renewals, certificates, binders, audits, and other policy changes.Maintain accurate account documentation within the agency management system.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.Provide timely and professional customer service.Stay current on market conditions, coverage forms, and industry trends.Pursue continuing education and professional development opportunities.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent required6 months to 2 years of commercial insurance experience preferred for Junior Account Manager level2+ years of commercial lines account management experience preferred for Account Manager levelApplied EPIC experience preferredExperience with Utah HOA/community association accounts and construction-related accounts strongly preferred.Licenses or CertificationsActive Utah Property and Casualty license required; Utah Life & Health license desiredRequired Job Knowledge and SkillsStrong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.Working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and policy formsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and coworkers.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.Ability to analyze coverage, rating, and policy information.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and agency management systems.PhysicalThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
