GRANT-FUNDED POSITION

POSITION: JUDY CENTER SITE COORDINATOR

LOCATION: TBD

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for daily management of the Judy Center Early Learning Hub site. Coordinates adherence to MSDE grant component standards, the components of early childhood education, parent support services, home visits, grant components and family events. This position will act as community services liaison.

REPORTS TO: Judy Center Multi-Site Coordinator and Grant Manager

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE: At the time of application, the candidate must have:

  1. Hold a degree in Early Childhood Education or related Human or Social Services
  2. Three years of previous teaching or administrative experience
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
  1. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  2. Ability to work with data and has strong writing and presentation skills
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Identifies, recruits and enrolls qualified families for participation.
  2. Orients and prepares families for participation by assisting with family goal setting.
  3. Assists with appropriate placement of children in formal early childhood settings
  4. Identifies barriers to participation and makes referrals to supporting service agencies to remove barriers.
  5. Assists with planning of appropriate project components for participating families.
  6. Identifies local in-kind funding sources as well as manages the CES budget requirements.
  7. Coordinates staff training with project support services.
  8. Maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies and maintains a positive community presence.
  9. Maintains records of Judy Hoyer Early Learning Hub projects for evaluation purposes and to communicate program effectiveness to local and state stakeholders.
  10. Attends and actively participates on local Interagency Council and other stakeholder meetings.
  11. Co-writes, facilitates and manages Judy Center Grant
  12. Ensures compliance with grant assurances.
  13. Submits all MSDE required reporting on time.
  14. Attends meetings to promote integration of program components (Weekly Staff Meetings, monthly Service Coordinator Meeting and Monthly Steering Committee meeting).
  15. Ensuring the Judy Center is fully integrated into the school.
  16. Works closely with the county Judy Center Multi-Site Coordinator on all aspects of the program.

OTHER DUTIES: (Duties listed are not intended to be all inclusive nor limit duties that might reasonably be assigned.) Performs related work as required or assigned by the Multi-Site Coordinator or Grant Manager.

UNUSUAL DEMANDS: May be subject to a flexible work schedule, including working with families on an emergency basis or supporting evening and weekend events.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) month position; $32.49 per hour; Employment is contingent upon continued grant funding and need. Grant employees are At-Will employed. Site location is flexible and will be based on the needs of the program. All employees are encouraged to have automatic payroll deposit.
