Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Procurement Buyer to join our dynamic supply chain team. In this role, you will support the procurement process by sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Your contributions will help optimize inventory levels, streamline procurement workflows, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations. Duties

Assist in sourcing suppliers and evaluating vendor performance to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with inventory management and production planning.
Support negotiations with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms to maximize value.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications for audit purposes.
Monitor inventory levels through materials management systems and coordinate logistics to prevent stock shortages or excesses.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing procurement data and recommending process enhancements.
Experience

Previous experience or internship in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 is highly desirable.
Knowledge of materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory control, logistics, and sourcing strategies.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Basic understanding of contracts, pricing models, and supply chain processes including production planning and merchandising.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing procurement documentation and data analysis.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and proactive approach.
