Compensation: $32-$38 per hour
What You'll Do:
- Lead the installation, wiring, and maintenance of residential and light commercial backup generators.
- Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs on generator systems to ensure 100% reliability for our customers.
- Install and maintain power distribution equipment, including breaker panels, transformers, disconnects, and light fixtures.
- Lead the setup, wiring, and motor control installation for backup generators; troubleshooting performance to ensure 100% reliability.
- Run conduit and install complex wiring for power, fire alarms, and communications systems according to schematics and blueprints.
- Organize and guide crews to ensure all installations are completed on schedule, within budget, and up to safety codes.
- Act as a subject matter expert for customers, explaining repair options and providing top-tier service to build long-term relationships.
What You Bring:
- Active Journeyman Electrician license with a strong background in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical systems.
- Solid, extensive experience specifically with the full lifecycle of generators (installation, diagnostics, and long-term maintenance).
- Highly preferred expertise in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing industrial or residential generator systems.
- A deep understanding of electrical manuals, circuit troubleshooting, and high-voltage motor controls.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills for coordinating with dispatch, project managers, and clients.
- A self-starter mindset with a clean driving record and the ability to pass required background and drug screenings.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to perform precise wiring, handle heavy hand tools, and operate power equipment.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in cramped or overhead spaces for extended periods.
- Sharp focus and the ability to distinguish color-coded wiring safely.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions.
