Position Summary
GMEA Electrical Services is actively hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role requires a highly skilled electrician who can work independently, lead crews when needed, and serve as a key resource for field leadership while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality.
Candidates should be comfortable working on large-scale projects and traveling wherever company projects require.
Responsibilities
Install electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
Lead by example and help drive jobsite productivity.
Mentor apprentices and assist in developing field personnel.
Coordinate work activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
Assist with crew leadership, task delegation, and project execution.
Review plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper installation.
Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.
Identify potential issues and communicate solutions to project leadership.
Support successful project completion through teamwork and accountability.
Travel throughout Florida and other states as project needs require.
Qualifications
Active Journeyman Electrician license.
5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
Experience working on large commercial, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or similar projects.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Proven ability to motivate team members and maintain a positive work environment.
Ability to work directly with Project Managers and Superintendents.
OSHA certification preferred.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
