Journeyman Commercial Carpenter

Journeyman Commercial Carpenter Opportunity | Immediate Start | $58.17/hour

TradeWorX is hiring experienced Journeyman Commercial Carpenters for immediate work in the State College area. This is a high-priority opportunity for field-proven carpenters with strong metal stud framing, blueprint reading, exterior sheeting, lift, and independent production experience.

Pay & Schedule:

• $58.17/hr
• Monday-Friday - 40 hours per week
• Immediate start
• Overtime as available based on project needs

Job Duties:

• Perform journeyman-level commercial carpentry with limited supervision
• Layout, frame, and install metal stud wall systems from blueprints and field measurements
• Install exterior fiberglass sheeting, including 4x8 and up to 4x12 panels
• Work safely from lifts at heights up to approximately 120 ft
• Measure, cut, fasten, square, plumb, and align materials to commercial construction standards
• Coordinate with foremen and crew members to maintain production, quality, and safety expectations

Requirements:

• Journeyman-level commercial carpentry experience preferred
• Proven field experience with metal stud framing and exterior sheeting installation
• Ability to read blueprints, understand layout, and work from drawings independently
• Comfortable and experienced working from aerial lifts at significant heights
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced commercial environment
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred

• Reliable, safety-focused, and available for immediate start
• Comfortable working at height and following lift/jobsite safety requirements
• Prepared with tools/PPE for commercial jobsite work
