A Second Wish By Demetrius, Inc. is seeking mission-aligned leaders to join our Board of Directors.
We are a community-based nonprofit dedicated to granting Second Wishes to children ages 10–17 facing life-threatening illnesses—bringing renewed hope, twice the joy, and lasting memories to children and their families. As our organization grows, we are looking for board members who want to help guide and strengthen our mission.
Board Service Overview
Board members serve as strategic partners and ambassadors for the organization, providing governance, guidance, and mission advancement. Board members help shape the organization's vision, offer strategic insight and oversight, represent the organization in the community, and support long-term sustainability and impact.
Ideal Candidates
Community-focused, mission-driven individuals who are passionate about improving the lives of children, willing to actively champion our mission, and interested in contributing leadership, professional expertise, resources, or community connections. Prior board experience is helpful but not required.
Time Commitment
Six board meetings per year, in addition to committee meetings or special projects as needed.
