Job Summary/Basic Function
Business & Operations Manager, Paz Center
10-month position; on campus. 35-hour weeks with reduced-hour schedule during January, February, July, and August. Evening and weekend work may be required. This is not a remote position.
The Business & Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of The Paz Center. Responsibilities include maintaining the booking system for overnight stays and events, overseeing billing and contracts, developing budgets to identify revenue opportunities, and producing regular reports.
Additional responsibilities include making sure that all emergency items are functional, addressing minor maintenance needs, and supporting cleaning, upkeep and event set up. The Business & Operations Manager will be cross trained with the Experience Manager to ensure a VIP experience for all visitors.
Other Duties:
In the event of staff shortage, the Paz Business Manager may occasionally have to engage in housekeeping or set up activities to ensure guests can check in or events can start in a timely fashion.
Serve as a member of the College Advancement team.
Maintain relationships with vendors, caterers, facilities, and others that work in or use the center.
With EM continue to develop and revise standard operating procedures.
Inventory and order operating supplies including but not limited to essential overnight items, guest experience giveaways and food for upcoming house run events.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years Work Experience
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree
